This Watersound, Florida beach house was such an honor and a pleasure to have done. This busy young family was gracious enough to give me a budget and a time frame and say "have at it", on the entire interior. My favorite way to work! I know that the family has enjoyed there second home - as I hope you will enjoy getting a look at it. I will be making several post on this house - there is so much to see. Unfortunately I can not show you the drop dead kitchen because my photographs were taken before the cabinet doors were installed (as they were one of the last things done). Oh well, when I called the owner to get permission to post these - I was invited back (can not wait) - so I will share the kitchen at a later date.
Really wanted you to see the precious outside, pardon the large amount of trash on the right - my team and I moved everything into this house in one week. Everything!! We walked into a completely empty house and walked out when it was done, from the mattresses, beds, rugs, art, window coverings.........you can imagine the boxes!?
The front porch sports incredible Lee swivel chairs - all washable white. As well as a good ole - southern porch swing.
The main living space includes all white upholsty as well. It is holding up nicely with 4 young children - it is all slip covered as well.
I love the juxtaposition in this home, its casually comfortable, contemporary and rustic - all at once.
Great little DIY here: We took an extra closet shelf and screwed from the under side - up all of these sea fans, to make a summer time fire screen.
Fabulous painting by my, ever so talented friend Scott Gavin. Lovely Arteriors light fixture in turquoise purchased at an auction for a steal. Scott painted all of the dining chairs and table as well. Always repurposing where ever possible, we were able to bring a hand-me-down dining room set back to life. Wait until you see what we did with the hutch in an upstairs bedroom.
Isn't this wallpaper in the 1/2 bath fabulous. It looks like elegant bubbles of glittery texture.
The metallic tile backsplash - Yum!! All of the fantastic fixtures and appliances here all from our local friends at Southern Pipe.
Even the laundry room here is delightful.
Inviting little back porch scream "summer time fun" to me.
This is the only kitchen shot, you can see now.................keep reading my blog, I will show the rest soon.
Sorry about the long winded post, thought it would be worth your scroll. Have a great day!!
